RCA-14 Breakout Box
At the last Club meeting I said I would send information about a cool product made by LDG. The product is the RCA-14 Breakout Box. You plug it into the back of your rig and all of the signals from accessory plug are available on one of the RCA connectors on this box. It made it easy to plug the audio from my Icom 706mkiig into my computer. I should have no problem connecting the radio's keying circuit to my amp. All of the cables are pre-built and included. This is a link to the PDF product file. For more information other LDG products, stop by the www.ldgelectronics.com web site.

Jamboree On The Air a Huge Success

Bob (K2RK) and Chuck (W3LUS) working with the Scouts |
25 Boys Scouts and 20+ Cub Scouts learned about communications and amateur radio during the daylong event on Saturday October 17. The Boy Scouts earned their Radio Merit Badge and got a fine start on both Electricity and Electronics Merit Badges. There were plenty of hands-on activities for the boys to experience. The highlight was getting on the air. The boys were fortunate enough to chat with their peers in England on 20 meters in addition to a group of Scouts in Waco Texas.
Thanks for this event goes to Stephen (N3ZX) Club Scout Liaison.
